Clinical Hypnotherapy is professional help for your children. In a safe and encouraging environment within or outside the school.
"I hear many teachers express their frustration in the lack of time they have available to encourage and build lasting confidence in their pupils."
Very often the children that would benefit the most in some positive ego boosting are the very pupils who are struggling academically or socially.
Hypnotherapy on a one to one basis, in an environment that the child knows helps reduce anxiety and stress.
Children are extremely imaginative. Hypnotherapy works very well to utilise that imagination and build on these skills to encourage the child.
Children are given various suggestions to help them imagine the way they wish they could re-act or interact in situations.
They are relaxed by dissociating or distracting them from where they are and imagining either a wonderful calm place or their favourite place in the world. (This is extremely fun for the child and always brings a smile to their face.)
While they are in their fantasy world encouraging suggestions are given to the unconscious mind.
Such as- increased confidence, happiness, courage, concentration, calmness, peace, love and self love.
All tailored to the child's individual needs, by having a discussion about what they find difficult or frightening.
A personal recording for the pupil to listen to on an mp3 format may be given, that boosts the sessions effects.
Please note that in NO WAY will a child be forced to do anything they do not want to do.
I am a fully qualified Hypnotherapist who is fully CRB checked. Any schools or parents wishing to use my services are welcome to request and check all my details. I follow the code of practice issued by the BSCH ( British Society of Clinical Hypnotherapy) which can be found on their web site.
Hypnotherapy within schools has been used by many therapists for many years. It is a safe and often quicker method of ego strengthening and confidence building.
